Program Description Kinesiology is a science that studies the human body, and how it moves and functions. The current interest in this discipline reflects a growing understanding about how exercise affects overall health. The Bachelor of Kinesiology program emphasizes applied bioscience courses with an emphasis on fitness and athletic performance, exercise prescription and programming, the development of research skills, as well as behavioural and socio-cultural aspects of kinesiology, and the application of theoretical knowledge in laboratory. Students can apply after first year into the Co-op stream. They would complete the same academic course work as the BKin majors but would have three four month work terms during the spring/summer of second, third and fourth year.
